We hauled out to dry dock on Tuesday March 26th, 2013 for her yearly maintenance. We tried to get as much done as we could while the weather made it so that we could not go fishing, the problem with that is --- it is also hard to work in the yard in cold, rainy, windy weather too.
We were at Bayliss Boatyard for a week. Dave, Jimmy, Cameron and Holly we able to get quite a lot of work done, at least, the stuff that had to get done out of the water..............We got the wheels re-conditioned, zincs replaced, shafts checked and washed her from top to bottom getting ready for the hull to be buffed and waxed, the bottom primed and painted, the transom touched up and the starboard (right) side toe rail totally re-done. That is a lot of work to get done in a week. Holly did have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, so she was able to help get it all knocked out on the weekend. Jimmy and Cameron did a fabulous job getting her buffed, waxed and painted.
Capt. Dave who was helping with every project, removed and reinstalled the toe rail repair (not a quick job) it took four days involving 5 major steps -- he was a trooper since he was also in so much pain with an infected tooth.........there are not many dentists open on the weekend. He got some antibiotics and pain medication Monday afternoon, then the High Return went back in the water on Tuesday.
