Capt. Dave had a great day with his charters Rock Fishing. They are in our back yard, a few miles up the beach!!! The morning bit was better than it was in the afternoon but everyone caught fish. Most of the fleet had a morning trip and an afternoon trip but the outboards stayed out there the entire time until about 3:00pm.
I met them at the dock at about 12:30pm and got stories from everyone that there had to have been 100 boats out there all in one area. The fish were definately still fresh as they were still flopping around as Nick was taking them out of the fish box and putting them on the dock for pictures and the fish cleaners.
When I turned into the fishing center drive, the trucks and boat trailers were overflowing from the out-board parking area and were on every available piece of grass. They were stretched all the way to the road and to the charter boat fleet........It looked like a boat convention......... Everyone was enjoying their New Years Day on the water catching Stripers!!!!
