We made it through the night with very little damage, we faired really well. There is a lot of clean up to do but thankfully no major damage to the boat or the house. We spent most of the day checking on her, changing ropes and putting the curtains back on. We actually had enough time to take a nap and I (Holly) made a ginger bread cake --- I hardly ever bake as I need to remind Capt. Dave that this is not a daily occurance!!
This evening we are getting ready for opening day of Dove season. All the hunting stuff is getting uncovered, cleaned off and repacked. This will be Charlie's (our Choc Lab) first season and boy she is getting into it....... she is following us around, on her toes ready to go...... Now we will see how much of our training an work is going to pay off ---- will she retrieve??
We are going to take the boat back to OIFC after opening day of dove season --- the seas are calming down and we are looking forward to getting back to normal.
